Who we are

Tshwane Talks is an online news publication based in Tshwane, South Africa. It is a privately owned company, established in 2020, and is 100% Black-owned and Black-managed.

The company is owned by a Black woman who is passionate about her work, enjoys a challenge, and works well both independently and as part of a team. She wants to make a difference in communities across Tshwane.

We are a community online publication covering the regions of Tshwane. Beyond reporting the news, we want to create employment for local people, open opportunities for communities, teach young people skills, and give journalism students the chance to complete internships.

Tshwane Talks is a community online publication delivering news across the regions of Tshwane. Our plans for the future include expanding throughout South Africa and internationally, and making a printed edition available.
